Department of Business Administration has been 30 years since the department was formally established. The primary purpose of the department is to develop talented individuals needed by businesses and companies. Currently, it boasts an international teaching staff and a wide variety of courses to choose from. Faculties with professions received from first-class Schools of Business in various countries (USA, Japan, Britain, and Germany) provide different experiences and knowledge either in the single field (Production and Operations Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Information Mangament, Human Resource Management, and Business Strategy) or interdisciplinary researches. As a result, students have much flexibility for learning and development. Furthermore, in response to the trends of internationalization, digitalization of business administration and corporate sustainability, the department places particular emphasis on course instruction in English and in establishing a quality learning environment for studying Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Teaching and instruction value both theory and practical application. As such, the department has hired many professors with rich experience in business. It also encourages students to participate in various certification exams as a way to lay a firm foundation for future development. At the same time, much effort is put into becoming a forerunner of academic research. Requirements of quality and relevancy in academic publications have become more stringent over the last few years. Also, interaction with the international academic community has been bolstered. To date, those important business journals that our faculties and students get to publish are as follows: Transportation Science、Annals of Operations Research、Decision Support Systems、Information & Management、Journal of Advertising Research、Marketing Letters、Industrial Marketing Management、IEEE Transactions of Software Engineering、Journal of Financial Intermediation、European Journal of Operational Research, etc.

The Graduate Institute of Accounting of the National Central University was established in 2010, and has since then became the sole graduate accounting institute among all national universities in the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli region. Following an increase in corporate demand for accounting talent with expertise in enterprise resource planning (ERP), the institute established the only in-service master's program in ERP accounting in Taiwan in 2015. Our students have guaranteed employment opportunities upon graduation and typically work at the Big Four accounting firms. Since the establishment of this institute, numerous students have acquired the certificate of Accountants of Higher Examination, and many in-service master's program students have also obtained SAP-related licenses, demonstrating outstanding performance and results.

The Management Academic Research Center was established in February 1995. The purpose of its establishment was to consolidate the research resources of the School of Management in order to heighten the School of Management’s scholastic status. Upon establishment, the highest decision making unit of the center became the management committee formed by instructor representatives of the School of Management. Current members include one chief and four assistant. The Management Academic Research Center is a support unit for the School of Management. Since its founding, it has actively supported various management academic activities in addition to devoting itself to the development and promotion of management education through the ideal of combining management theory and practice.
1. MBA credit class, EMBA master credit class
Since 1995, the center has continually offered MBA credit classes through consolidating the instructional resources of the various departments and institutes. In 1999, the center began EMBA credit classes which offered working professionals an excellent method of further education through these practical, diverse short term management education courses which run twice a year.
2. EMBA master program
In order to keep up with learning trends of the new century and the Ministry of Education’s recurrent education policy, the Management Academic Research Center began the Executive MBA Master Program in 1999. With selling points such as the best instructional staff, courses, and equipment, many business elite enrolled in the program, marking successful progress for the school’s long term goal of combining practical and instructional expertise. In response to the latest trends, in the 2003 academic year the Management Academic Research Center split the EMBA master program into two divisions: the general division and the cross-strait division. The difference is that the cross-strait division is mostly composed of Taiwanese businessmen who have worked in Mainland China for many years.
